Nagauta concert (Literally translated as 'Long Song' is traditional Japanese music from around Edo period)An all-day concert celebrating the 2nd Katsuroku Kineya for the receipt of his new name was held on November 29th in Kyoto. In this festive event, Rokunobujo Kineya (Hiroko Koshino's stage name) had the great privilege of playing "Renjishi (father and son lions)" as the last performer, with her samisen master second Katsuroku and other eminent musicians. Hiroko learned nagauta samisen when she was in her teens, and after dozens of years later she started practicing again with Maestro Katsuroku 5 years ago.
Rokunobujo aka Hiroko plays samisen sitting between her master Katsuroku (samisen) and his twin brother Tosei (song).
Hiroko Koshino drew peony pattern on her Kimono for this occasion.
